| SHADOWS™ lighting systems from REB Technologies filter the lighting of aviation instruments to make the traditional night vision green (NVIS/Green) lighting all but obsolete. SHADOWS™ filters come in all shapes and sizes depending on the light source of the instrument or display. The filters retard the inherent infrared (IR) that comes with all lighting. SHADOWS™ Lighting Systems Features:
- The filter does not change the color of the lighting as do traditional NVIS green filters. The filter does not change the color of the lighting as do traditional NVIS green filters.
- Does not affect the painted surfaces of instrument dials, so all colors remain true to the unaided eye.
- Allows more than sixty (60%) transmission of visible light as compared to the twenty percent (20%) for the green filters.
- Naked eye adjustment from the NVG to the cockpit displays is instantaneous.
- Minimizes reflections and glare on canopy surfaces.
- Mechanical or electrical modifications to the aircraft are not required.
- Provides various options for modification without disturbing the display or instruments local logistic support.
